massage services

Health Issues: first time spa clients always include a client history form to assess any special needs and comfort. Upon subsequent visits, if there has been any changes, please make it a priority to inform us. Always, let us know if you are pregnant.

Modesty Draping: your modesty will be respected at all times with professional draping. During all treatments you will be covered; only the area of your body being treated will be undraped.

Shiatsu

What to expect: You will be taken into a room with a very comfortable mat on the floor, where you will be given loose, comfortable clothes to slip into. Shiatsu offers the chance for the practitioner to "read" your body, and the better she is, the more in tune she will be with what your body needs. She may sense that your body's energy is being blocked at certain points and work to release the tension. There will be some stretching involved, and as your body surrenders to the experience, the more relaxed and at peace you will become.

What it's good for: Shiatsu is a perfect way to de-stress your muscles, work on targeted painful areas, stretch your body, re-center and get back in tune with your inner self. It will help relax and reinvigorate your muscles and, undoubtedly, your spirit.
Who'd love it: Anyone who doesn't like an unclothed massage yet wants muscle relief and also enjoys yoga or stretching. This relaxing technique is also therapeutic. The combination of the relaxation and stretching with the focused massage is a wonderful way to re-energize your body and energy.
Who'd hate it: Someone who doesn't want to be stretched or wants the feeling of being touched directly on the muscles, not through clothing.
Who should not have it: Pregnant women should always consult with the therapist in advance.
