Arthritis
There are many forms of arthritis, each having a different cause. Rheumatoid arthritis and Psoriatic arthritis are autoimmune diseases where the body attacks itself. Septic arthritis is caused by joint infection. Gouty arthritis is caused by deposition of uric acid crystals in the joint resulting in inflammation. Osteoarthritis, the most common form, is also known as degenerative joint disease and occurs following trauma to the joint, following an infection of the joint, or simply the result of aging. Arthritis is the leading cause of disability in people over the age of 65.
Taking NutriMoor supplement, Moor Mud baths, and the Detox program have given many arthritis sufferers relief and healing. It would be wrong to assume that Moor Mud is a cure all for these diseases, but rather it is through the several hundred elements in the “moor-bouquet” that the body can start to help itself. Mr. Otto Stober, “pioneer and father” of modern moor therapy spoke of the “moor therapy of totality” (“Moorganzheitstherapie”) where the moor mud treatments act on the whole of the organism and not just specific parts. Getting the body back into homeostasis or organic balance is the goal.
Mud bath therapy decreases cytokines involved in cartilage destruction in osteoarthritis, and increases growth factors that protect cartilage. (Int J Clin Pharmacol Res & J Investig Med)
Mud packs and sulphur baths improve morning stiffness, patient self-assessment of disease severity, grip strength, and joint swelling and tenderness in patients with psoriatic arthritis. (Rheumato lnt 19(3): 77-82)
Sulfide ooze mud and sodium chloride baths in treating osteoarthrosis patients. Humoral immunity initially affected in patients with osteoarthrosis returns to normal under the influence of a multiple-modality treatment involving application of sulphide moor in combination with sodium chloride baths.
